September 2025
Hi everyone,
Back to school soon so even for those of us without children, the roads are going to get a bit busier again. A bit of a damp end to August, but not enough to dampen our spirits as it was a busy month for us.
The workshop and freestyle in Arundel where a phenomenal success. However, I was having such a good time, that I forgot to take any photos! It looks like Arundel is keen for more Leroc though, so watch this space…
Teresa and I will be guest teaching at DiscoJive’s freestyle in Herstmonceux on Friday 5th September. Check out the socials for details.

The Benefits of Dancing for Physical and Mental Health
Dancing is more than just a fun way to spend an evening—it’s a fantastic workout for both your body and mind. Leroc, with its energetic steps, and movements, provides excellent cardiovascular exercise, helping to improve heart health, build stamina, and strengthen muscles. Regular dancing also enhances balance, coordination, and flexibility, which are crucial for preventing injuries both on and off the dance floor. Even just an hour a week can make a noticeable difference in your overall fitness and mobility.
Beyond the physical benefits, dancing has powerful effects on mental health. Moving to music can boost your mood, reduce stress, and release endorphins (the body’s natural feel-good chemicals). It also offers a chance to focus your mind, improving concentration and mindfulness as you connect with the rhythm, your partner, and the flow of the dance. Plus, the social aspect of dancing fosters community and connection, combating feelings of loneliness and encouraging a sense of belonging. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced dancer, Modern Jive provides a holistic way to nurture both your body and your mind.
